TUESDAY STORM THREAT AND PEEK AT NYC WEATHER NEXT 4 DAYS

Believe it or not but we had a cold front move through this morning , yes this morning! , but it was very
weak and therefore just washed out as it hit the coast. The next cold front however that will sweep through tomorrow
has legs. The front is much more amplified and robust and this will spark strong/severe storms for the area tomorrow.
Via a very strong 850 mb trough moisture is being drawn up from the gulf into the ohio river valley.
PWAT values will increase tomorrow as the mid atlantic / northeast gets into the tropical moisture seen today over the mid west
One major threat outside of severe storms tomorrow is a downburst of very strong winds as the moisture gets lifted up into colder air at 500mb
and crashes down to the surface.
for the first time this year we have seen the best and most impressive severe threat for the nyc metro and northern mid atlantic region
for tomorrow with a organized straight line of storms. These storms will be capable of frequent lightning , wind gusts over 50 mph , heavy downpours and hail.
The best locations for severe weather are E PA , W NJ , lower hudson valley , mohawk river valley , NW CT , W MA
Once the cold front sweeps through much lower humidity returns for wednesday and trend toward a cooler regime toward end of week into weekend.
