Northern New Jersey and Greater NYC metro area weekend forecast and 7 day

Good saturday morning to all ,

Much drier and cooler air has invaded the region this morning from the great lakes and canada. This air mass is more of a pacific polar rather than canadian or arctic air mass , so temps rebound this afternoon still above normal for this time of year. The cold front that swept through the region early yesterday morning will rebound northward on sunday afternoon with increasing clouds and showers toward sunday night. Rainfall will be very scattered and light with a general .10-.25″ rainfall. The showers will linger sunday night on through tuesday as a series of waves of low pressure ride the stationary boundary leading to cool, wet and raw conditions. At most some locations will receive up to 1″ of rainfall through the period although that will be the exception rather than the rule. High pressure gets back into control wednesday on through friday with tranquil conditions and temperatures still above normal.

SATURDAY FORECAST * Don’t forget to spring forward , set the clocks ahead tonight *

Overall nice weekend ahead with saturday the better half of weekend , clouds increase along with the chance of isolated showers toward evening. Early week rather cool and raw leads to a rebound of sunshine and pleasant conditions!

Updates throughout the week for a potential of some interior wintry precip next weekend

stay tuned!! have a great weekend!!
