Moderate to Heavy Rain Event This Weekend

A very active and wet weather pattern setting in for northern mid atlantic & northeast.
The remnants of the upper mid west mcs will be filtering into the PA region & continue to move east.
the steadiest rain and heavier amounts will be around post rush hour to about 2-3 am friday morning.
A second wave of low pressure along the stationary front to the south will provide widely scattered showers into the afternoon hours.
Rainfall amounts from this evening through tomorrow afternoon will be heaviest around the central & south jersey areas with up to 1-1.25″ of rainfall.
The major rain producer will be forming around the mississippi river valley and lift northeast into the ohio river valley by friday night.
The low pressure will reform off the coast on saturday morning due to the very strong high pressure over gulf of maine.
heavy rainfall can be expected starting saturday afternoon into sunday morning , sunday afternoon leftover scattered showers with perhaps peeks of sun in the afternoon as the heavy rain is further north into new england.
Region wide can expect around 1-2″ of rain by sunday afternoon.
