FINAL CALL ON WEEKEND AND NY 7 DAY FORECAST
Good afternoon everyone and happy friday!!!
Yes it was warm today with temps in the upper 80s to around 91 in newark new jersey but the big difference was the humidity.
We can expect the same type of weather with very warm temps and comfortable humidity through the weekend.
This is due to the trough axis around the great lakes and therefore continues the w-sw flow into the northern mid atlantic.
Northern new england however tomorrow is under the gun for some showers and storms as short wave energy swings through the area from an upper trough and associated weak cold front.
VT , NH , ME will see somewhat of a threat for strong/severe storms although isolated with cool air aloft at 500mb producing the potential for large hail.
the rest of the northern mid atlantic / northeast can expect clear skies NW wind sat shifts to sw on sunday with an increase in humidity but no where near this past week.
the pattern stays pretty quiet until thursday where it looks like a widespread heavy rain event may be unfolding.
heading to the beach on the jersey shore here is your weekend shore cast
