Thunderstorm Discussion: June 14-15

It has become obvious that we will be dealing with the potential for more organized rain and thunderstorm activity for Sunday and Monday. The HRRR currently shows until 8:30 PM Sunday, and showing some thunderstorms in eastern PA moving eastward. So, as of Saturday night, I would say it is looking like the storms make their way into the area between 9:00-10:00 PM. The HRRR also shows that there could be a few scattered showers in western NJ after 2PM…. we’ll see if that materializes. Below is the current NAM and HRRR radar depictions as of Saturday night. As you will see, the NAM shows most of the activity not making it to the area until 00z Monday. Also below is the Storm Prediction Center thunderstorm outlook for Sunday and Monday. Please stay tuned as there will be an update to this sometime on Sunday. Also note that Sunday, we get a break from the humidity! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
